Is weekend hire available?

Yes, however, please note that all rentals on Saturday are a 2 day hire with the vehicle to be returned Monday morning.

What is the minimum hire?

During the weekdays the minimum hire is 1 day, however if you collect on a Friday the minimum hire is 3 days, due to the office being closed on Sundays.

Is there a mileage limit?

Yes, This is 150 miles per day. Excess mileage charges are at 20 pence per mile plus VAT.

What if I need to cancel my booking?

If you need to cancel your booking for any reason, you must do this 48hours before your booking otherwise there will be a £50+vat administration charge.

What happens if I return my vehicle late?
If you return the vehicle later than the time specified on your booking form without our consent you will be charged for the additional time that you have the vehicle in your possession. Admin Fee £25 +VAT  If you are more than 30 minutes late you will be charged for a full day. Drop off times are 8.00am to 08.30am Monday To Friday Saturday 8.00am to 8.30am

I have sent an enquiry online, when will someone contact me?
Once you have sent an enquiry, a member of staff will usually call within 24 hours (within standard working hours). If however, you have not heard anything within this timescale please call our office on 01424 814777.

Do I need to provide my driving licence?
Yes, you will need to see your Car Driving Licence and you will need to obtain a DVLA check code. Via DVLA website or your NI number

What paperwork do I need to bring with me?
A full driving licence (photo card), (if old style) you will require passport, then two recent utility bills, bank statement, Council tax bill, Credit card Statement confirming your current address and dated in the last 90 days

What should I do if I have a problem with a vehicle?
If you have broken down or had an accident please follow the procedures explained when the vehicle was checked out. Always contact us with any problems and we will do our best to help you.

Can vehicles be dropped off out of hours?
NO, only in Hastings self drive hire working hours.

Do you hire vehicles that we can take abroad?
All of our vehicles are eligible for European use. Extra costs and terms and conditions may apply.

Do you provide 24-hour vehicle collection?
No, paperwork has to be completed in our office. Please call us for any queries.

Is there an age limit?
Yes, 21 to 75 years and must have been driving for at least 2 years. Over 75’s can still hire but we will need to refer you to our insurance company beforehand.

Are the prices given inclusive of insurance?
Yes, the price includes comprehensive insurance cover, Nationwide 5* AA Breakdown Cover and VAT. We offer optional excess waiver insurance, which costs £10 + vat per day.

Can the deposit be paid in cash?
Unfortunately No. All deposits must be paid with a debit or credit card.

Can I hire a vehicle with endorsements on my driving licence? 

Details of the endorsements must always be taken. We may need to refer you to our insurance company depending on the amount and seriousness of the endorsements. Please contact our office by phone or email with details to be sure. Ideally, this should be done prior to your collection date, additional charge could be added to rental

How many drivers can I have?
The price quoted includes one driver. Please call us on 01424 814777 to discuss additional drivers which cost £10 + vat per driver per day.

Can you hire a vehicle one way?
No, unfortunately, all vehicles must be returned to the collection point.

I'm going over the Dartford crossing, what do I need to do?
You will need to ensure you pay this on your crossing, if not you will be liable to receive a fine plus an administration fee.
